- In order to fully realize convergence in such an era, the high barriers built between school systems must be lowered. The Seoul National University of Science and Technology Graduate School of Public Policy and Information Technology is the only graduate school in Korea to attempt convergence between IT and policy, between IT and management and between culture and policy by eliminating the fences between the humanities, social sciences and engineering fields.
Established in March 2003, the Graduate School of Public Policy and Information Technology aims to foster top policy experts in the IT sector that will lead the information and knowledge-oriented society.
- In accordance with such purpose, we have opened Master’s and Doctorate programs for 4 majors: public policy, industrial information systems, broadcasting communications policy and digital culture policy. Equipped with the newest educational facilities and an advanced curriculum that harmonizes scientific theory with empirical practice, we provide lectures from 30 outstanding professors that have acquired doctorates in prestigious schools in Korea and abroad.
- During the past 8 years since its establishment, the Graduate School of Public Policy and Information Technology has produced a total of 36 Masters and 63 Doctors graduates. All of these graduates currently hold important positions in government agencies, public institutions and corporations. Furthermore, our school provides an extensive network composed of 180 alumni - including enrolled students - that have various careers in the field of information technology.
- Based on its network and outstanding faculty, the Graduate School of Public Policy and Information Technology endeavors to develop as the leader in interdisciplinary research between IT and policy by producing top personnel in the IT sector and carrying out projects and studies for solving actual problems faced by the government and corporations. To this end, professors and staff members will unite to give their utmost effort.
